This exercise is built using box 2 fingering of the pentatonic scale in Am. It's a piece with a blues-rock sound to play from a single position, alternating ligatures with down picking.
Ex. #8 This phrase is also built in the pentatonic scale of Am, which develops increasing interval distance in some points, like between the E - A notes on the first string.
Ex. #9 Another use of larger intervals on the pentatonic scale of Am. There are two fingerings used here (box 5 and box 1) placed alongside each other in a single model spaced over six frets.
Ex. #10 A typical phrase that begins with sweep picking, which is then combined to a succession of notes in the fifth position on the first string, then concludes with a final bending. In the second bar a scaling of descending ligatures.
