The exercises found here are developed on two bars, which will then be played on every string, and are slightly more complicated with respect to the previous examples. Pay attention to the fingering of the notes, because the correct position of the fingers is vital in obtaining good results.
These exercises are also used in a solo, and for this reason I recommend that you memorize them as best as you can.
The scale that is used in this series of exercises is the minor harmonic scale. On the first and the sixth strings, the root of the scale is A, while on the second string we will use the E minor harmonic scale, on the third C, the fourth G, and the fifth string D.

I suggest that you try to write some of your own patterns, using what you have learned in these pages. It's definitely of great help, because it allows you to create some personal phrases that can sharpen your own musical style. In the next page you will see some new exercises that are full of ideas, that can also be used in solos.
