Ex. #9

This is a good pattern that can be inserted in many improvisation contexts. As you can see, I wanted to identify a basic chord because it is actually the fingering of a chord that is used for single notes. The pattern is made of a sequence of eight notes per chord.

Ex. #10

A group of sextets on the third string played with the first note of every group on the first string. Watch out for the picking that is done oppositely: start the picking with the upstroke. The entire exercise is played in the scale of G major.

Ex. #11

Like the previous exercise, but with the first note of every sextet on the sixth string. The picking is normal.

Ex. #12

Exercises 10 and 11 are combined to form this exercise. Follow the indicated picking very closely.
